Letters&Love (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and store your personal data when you use our website, book a tour, or subscribe to our mailing list.
We operate in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who We Are

Letters&Love is a sole trader business based in the United Kingdom providing guided tours, writing workshops, reading groups and other related services and events.

2. What Data We Collect

Tour and event bookings (via Acuity Scheduling): Name, email address, phone number, booking details, additional information, billing/payment information (processed via Stripe).

Mailing list subscribers (via Squarespace): Name (if provided), email address, communication preferences.

Website usage: IP address, browser type, pages visited (via cookies and analytics).

3. How We Use Your Data

To process bookings, communicate with you, provide services, take payments, send newsletters/marketing information (if opted in), and improve website performance.

Contract, consent, legitimate interests, and legal obligations.

5. How Your Data is Collected

Squarespace forms, Acuity Scheduling, Stripe payments, and direct communication.

6. Third-Party Services

Squarespace (website & mailing list), Acuity Scheduling (booking system), Stripe (payments). Data may be transferred outside the UK with safeguards in place.

7. Payments (Stripe)

We use Stripe to securely process payments. We do not store full card details. Stripe processes your data in line with applicable laws. See https://stripe.com/gb/privacy

8. Marketing Communications

You will only receive marketing emails, and our newsletters if you opt in. You can unsubscribe at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe button on the emails we have sent you.

When you book a tour or event we will send you confirmation emails, reminders and a follow-up email. We will not contact you after this unless you opt in to receive marketing communications.

9. How Long We Keep Your Data

Booking data retained for legal/tax purposes. Mailing list data retained until you unsubscribe.

Access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, and complaint to ICO: https://www.ico.org.uk

11. Data Security

We use appropriate measures to protect your data. Newsletters and marketing emails are sent via Squarespace where your data is stored. Information given whilst booking is through Acuity which is also part of the Sqaurespace suite so falls into their policies.
